2026-02-23 AI Assistant (Beta) in VPS Management

We launched AI Assistant (Beta) directly in VPS service management. You can now manage server tasks from one screen, without manual terminal preparation.

You can do this instantly in the VPSnet.com web panel: open AI Assistant, describe the result you want, and AI starts executing on your VPS immediately.

Where to find it: Management → Services → open your service → AI Assistant.

Important scope note: AI Assistant is not limited to a fixed catalog of actions. The examples below are only guidance, not limits.

What is new

  • Mini IDE workflow: prompt input, live log stream, and AI output in one place.
  • Real-time visibility: you see step-by-step execution, command status, and results as they happen on your VPS.
  • File-aware actions: AI can create, inspect, and edit files, then explain what changed.
  • Session continuity: continue previous context or start a new chat; long sessions support automatic context compaction.
  • Safety controls: optional max-steps and Premium max-cost limits to keep tasks predictable.

What you can do

These are only examples — the assistant is not limited to fixed templates. You can describe almost any server, DevOps, automation, or programming workflow, and AI will execute it on your VPS step by step.

  • Prepare web server stacks (Nginx/Apache, PHP, Node.js, Python, Docker) or custom environments.
  • Install and configure databases (MySQL/MariaDB/PostgreSQL/Redis) and integrate them with applications.
  • Create, modify, and debug code/scripts, then deploy websites and apps with SSL and reverse proxy.
  • Analyze system state, troubleshoot logs/services/firewall/packages, and apply the required fixes.

Example requests

  • “Create a web page for my company on this VPS, configure Nginx with SSL, and publish it.”
  • “Install WordPress with database, harden security, and show me which files were created.”
  • “Set up a Node.js app with PM2, reverse proxy, and auto-restart on boot.”

And much more

  • Build CI/CD flows, automate maintenance, manage backup/restore routines, harden security baselines, benchmark performance, and generate technical reports.
  • Run one-time or recurring operations, chain multi-step workflows, and adapt decisions based on live server feedback.
  • If you can clearly describe the outcome, AI can usually execute it on the VPS and show exactly what changed.

Billing: Free and Premium modes are available. Premium usage is billed by provider-reported token usage and is visible in payment history.

Important: AI can make mistakes. Always review and verify actions before using them in production.

2026-02-10 Saved Card and Automatic Renewal

You can now save a payment card and enable automatic service renewal when your balance runs low.

  • Card is stored securely via Stripe — we never store your card details
  • Only the last 4 digits are shown for reference
  • You can remove the saved card at any time
2026-02-10 Latvian Language Support

We added Latvian language — VPSnet.com is now available in three languages: Lithuanian, English, and Latvian.

VPSnet.com, VPSnet.lt (VPSnet.net, VPSnet.co.uk), and the new VPSnet.lv — all sites now support three languages.

  • The entire management interface has been translated to Latvian
  • You can switch languages at any time from the top menu
2026-02-07 News and Updates

We created a new changelog page where you can follow all VPSnet.com platform news, updates and changes.

All new features, improvements and fixes will be announced here.

2026-02-05 API Keys and MCP Servers

Added the ability to create API keys for programmatic access to VPSnet.com services.

Create and manage your API keys at: Management → Account → API Keys

MCP Servers for AI Integration

For AI usability, we created two MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers that allow AI assistants to fully control your services and manage VPS servers:

VPSnet MCP — 49 tools for complete service management

  • Server control: start, stop, restart, reinstall OS, change hostname and root password
  • Plan management: view plans, change resources (RAM, CPU, SSD, traffic), calculate pricing
  • Order new VPS: choose plan, OS, resources, SSH key — all in one command
  • SSH key management: create, deploy, and list SSH keys for secure access
  • Backup management: check status, view history, create backups
  • Billing: view invoices, payments, renew services, manage auto-renewal
  • Account: manage API keys, view login and management history
  • Network: manage rDNS/PTR records, toggle IPv6, flush iptables

npm: vpsnet-mcp | GitHub

mcp-server-ssh — Direct SSH access for AI

  • Connect to any VPS via SSH (password or key authentication)
  • Execute commands remotely — install software, configure services
  • SFTP file operations: upload, download, browse, create directories
  • Generate SSH key pairs directly from AI
  • Port forwarding for accessing internal services

npm: mcp-server-ssh | GitHub

Best together: VPSnet MCP and mcp-server-ssh complement each other perfectly. VPSnet MCP handles ordering and service management, while mcp-server-ssh handles direct server access. Together, AI can order a VPS, deploy an SSH key, connect, and fully configure the server — all automatically.

How to install: Copy the full description from the npm page or GitHub into your AI assistant and it will install the MCP server automatically. You may need to restart the agent and grant required permissions.

Example workflows:

  1. “Order a new VPS from balance, create an SSH key and deploy it, give me the server IP so I can point my domain. Then install SSL and set up a complete WordPress site with a theme and plugins.”
  2. “Order a VPS, set it up for Node.js, then create a React web application that shows real-time weather statistics with live API data and interactive charts. Configure Nginx as reverse proxy with SSL and make it accessible in production.”

AI handles the full process — from ordering the server to deploying a working application.

Important: AI assistants can make mistakes. Always review and verify the actions AI performs on your servers. You are responsible for monitoring AI tasks and ensuring they complete correctly.
